Al Jazeera has launched its new mobile and tablet apps on the iOS and Android systems bringing the latest Al Jazeera news and programmes live together with on-demand personalisation.

 

The apps, which are available for Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Arabic, will provide breaking news alerts and special coverage notifications with a curated home screen which highlights top stories. 

 

It will provide 24-hour access to live video and background audio streaming with a personal newsfeed area for shows, topics and saved stories which can be shared on social media.

 

Ibrahim Hamid, director of Enterprise and Digital Platforms at Al Jazeera Media Network, said: “Our new mobile and tablet apps will make it easier for our audiences to get content that is important and relevant for them.
