Pitbull to perform at Bahrain F1 festivities

International superstar Pitbull will take to the stage in Bahrain next month.
The chart-topping musician is set to headline this year's Bahrain Formula One at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir, it was announced yesterday (March 3) reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
He will be performing on April 18 as part of a line-up of international artists yet to be announced.
The GDN earlier reported that a week prior to the Grand Prix weekend, a Race Fever event will be held at the track featuring British band The Vamps and Swedish DJ Otto Knows.
"We are extremely delighted to have signed Pitbull to perform live at BIC for the 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix," said BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.
"Pitbull is a global superstar whose popularity has skyrocketed over the past few years.
"We all know his songs and we all know how unbelievable his live productions are.
"He can really put on a great show.
"We greatly look forward to him bringing some of his signature energy and showmanship to the Bahrain Grand Prix."
Those with tickets to the Grand Prix weekend will be able to attend the concert.
Pitbull has collaborated with renowned artists including Shakira, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, Kesha and Akon. He has had number one hits in more than 15 countries, which include Timber, Feel This Moment, Time of our Lives and Don't Stop The Party.
He also performed at last year's FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil alongside Jennifer Lopez.
The Vamps are set to headline at the BIC on April 11 at the Race Fever event held in the lead-up to the F1.
They will take the stage at 7.30pm and will be followed by DJ Otto Knows.
All those with tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend will be able to attend both concerts.
