DSF lines up Arab superstars for grand celebrations

With the Dubai Shopping Festival fast approaching its landmark 20th edition, the organizers, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), have announced a mega concert series - DSF Celebration Nights - that will give residents and visitors from around the world the chance to dance the night away with 20 superstars of the Arab world.
The series of concerts will be the biggest of its kind in the region, and is being produced in collaboration with Platinum Records, a 360 music entertainment company, owned by MBC Group, and in association with Dubai Media City.
The line-up of famous Arab singers who will feature in DSF Celebration Nights includes icons like Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo, Emirati Superstar Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop superstar Amr Diab, Emirati heroine Ahlam, Lebanese starts Nancy Ajram and Najwa Karam, the highly acclaimed Iraqi singer, Majed Mohandes and Elissa, one of the best-selling recording artists from Lebanon,
Commenting on the concert, Laila Mohammed Suhail, the chief executive of DFRE, said: “As DSF heads towards its historic 20th anniversary, we are committed to offering residents and visitors an array of world-class events befitting the festival’s momentous milestone.
"DSF Celebration Nights brings together the most popular singers of the Middle East for a spectacular line-up of concerts that is bound to attract more visitors to Dubai, especially when it is being done in collaboration with a media conglomerate of the highest calibre such as the MBC Group and its Platinum Records," she stated.
Taymoor Marmarchi, the head of Platinum Records, said it was delighted to be a part of the DSF Celebration Nights. "We will harness all our expertise and experience and leverage on MBC Platforms while working closely with DFRE to present a spectacular music festival," he added.
The series of concerts come in a fresh and different form and appearance, especially since they will be held in an outdoor venue - Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, which has the capacity to accommodate an audience of 5,000 at a single performance.
The top music artists are set to infuse an amazing entertainment atmosphere that will give DSF visitors the opportunity to capture the spirit of the world’s longest running festival.
DSF 2015 will kick-off Dubai’s events calendar in the New year under the theme “20th Anniversary – A Journey of Celebrations” with a range of events, activities and promotions that will once again bring to the forefront the festival’s charm of offering an enriching shopping experience, combined with entertainment and winnings.-TradeArabia News Service
