N Korea tests another ICBM, claims US in range
WASHINGTON, July 29, 2017
North Korea has tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile, claiming its capability to strike all of US mainland, media reports said.
The missile was launched from Mupyong-ni and travelled about 1,000 km before splashing down in the Sea of Japan, Emirates news agency Wam reported, citing a statement from the US Department of Defense (DoF), which detected and tracked the missile launch
“We are working with our interagency partners on a more detailed assessment,'' the DoF statement added.
"Our commitment to the defence of our allies, including the Republic of Korea and Japan, in the face of these threats, remains ironclad. We remain prepared to defend ourselves and our allies from any attack or provocation,” it added.
