Jordan group STS signs cloud service deal with EHSI

AMMAN, December 23, 2018

Jordan-based STS, a leading provider of comprehensive information technology (IT) solutions, said it has inked an agreement with Electronic Health Solutions International (EHSI), equipping it with cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to manage its virtual servers and information storage operations.

The agreement was signed by EHSI chairman Dr Rami Farraj and chief executive officer Ghassan Al Lahham, as well as STS co-founder and chief executive officer Aiman Mazahreh and director of cloud and advanced solutions Mohammad Adnan, alongside several team members from both companies.

In addition to consolidating the efforts of stakeholders within the health insurance sector, IaaS aims to combine insurance claims electronically and identify one national body to oversee their management, thus positively impacting the insurance process while upgrading healthcare services, said a statement from the company.

With the cloud infrastructure solution, EHSI can also increase the efficiency of its activities by decreasing operational costs, minimising errors and fraud, bettering clinical outcomes to enhance patient safety and enabling healthcare management programmes, it said.

The STS Cloud platform extends an array of other benefits, such as elevating patient experience by facilitating intelligent and effective communication capabilities with service providers and insurance companies, while offering patients best options through quality indicators and assessments.

Furthermore, IaaS enables the Government of Jordan - the overarching umbrella for insurance practices - to devise plans using accurate information and reports produced by the cloud-based system, besides improving the global competitiveness of the healthcare sector and contributing to the growth of medical tourism in the kingdom.

EHSI’s adoption of IaaS underscores its commitment to upgrading the Hakeem Program by boosting the quality and proficiency of healthcare services delivered to Jordanians.

IaaS helps achieve this goal by generating real-time data, reducing fraudulent claims received by insurance companies and serving as a vital component in the development of unified coding for medical information, said
Al Lahham.

"We continually strive to implement best practices that bolster the sector in Jordan by supplying healthcare facilities with information technologies that allow them to provide exceptional care, precise information and electronic medical records," he stated.

“For this reason, we chose this cutting-edge cloud-based system to improve the standards of our offerings and add value to our new solution - Hakeem Claim,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
