Diversification is the key to success in the marine and boat industry, according to Jalboot Holding chief executive officer Mohamed Roestali.

Former boat tour company Jalboot has experienced a year of growth as it has spread into new sectors becoming a fully-fledged marine services firm, while also expanding into international markets such as the Maldives and the Far East, said a statement.
 
The firm was originally established in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and while this is still a vital part of its core business, the diversification has been the key to its recent success during a tough time in the market, it said.

Jalboot is showcasing its expanded portfolio of products and services at this week’s Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS), where visitors are invited to check out the latest models of boats from leading global brand Mastercraft and learn more about the marine services the firm carries out in the UAE and abroad, it added.

Boat lovers will be in for a treat when they visit the Jalboot stand where they can use cutting-edge Virtual Reality machines to create the boat of their dreams.

Roestali said: “This year has been an incredible year for the company and probably the most important since it was first established in 2013.”

“Our decision to diversify and expand internationally has proven to be very well timed as it has allowed us to solidify and future-proof our business by creating more revenue streams and potential opportunities to continue the diversification and growth,” he said.

“Our UAE business will always be at the heart of everything we do, but we are also very proud to be an ambassador for the country by taking our business and our values into new international markets where we have found a huge appetite for partnership and collaboration,” he added.

The Jalboot Group is now delivering marine construction, operation and management services in the UAE and the Maldives, while also offering vessel design, construction, supervision and consultancy through its partnership with iYacht, a global leader in yacht design based in Hamburg, Germany.

Jalboot Holding chief operating officer Thomas Rebollini said: “No business should ever stand still and we will be looking to continue our evolution over the next 12 months by expanding on the marine services offered and stretching into related markets in new territories in the Far East.”
