HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has led a meeting of key industrial entities in Ras Al Khaimah to discuss a long-term strategy for continued growth and job creation in the sector.

The sector currently accounts for 30 per cent of Ras Al Khaimah’s gross domestic product (GDP), said a statement. 

The Industrial Strategy involves prioritising 11 sectors based on multiple factors including economic contribution, revenue potential and future proofing the country, it said.

Leaders of key industrial entities in Ras Al Khaimah were present at the meeting, which took place at the desert Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Resort on October 7.

HH Sheikh Saud said: “A strategic plan is the basis for sustainable success, and synchronised working across all areas of government ensures we achieve our objectives.”

“We are putting in place a strategy to continue to grow the industrial output of the Emirate over the next decade,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
