Agthia, one of the UAE’s leading food and beverages groups, recently welcomed Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, to the Delta Bottled Water Factory, Agthia group’s wholly owned water business in the kingdom.

Sheikh Shakhbout was taken on a tour of the facilities and briefed by Agthia’s senior management on the company’s uncompromising commitment to quality and approach to promoting a healthy lifestyle, said a statement from the company.

During his visit, Sheikh Shakhbout said: “The UAE’s bilateral relationship with Saudi Arabia has continued to grow and solidify across all fields under the direction of our leaders.”

Engineer Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, chief executive officer, Agthia Group, said: “The acquisition of Delta Water in Saudi Arabia has been a major milestone for our regional expansion efforts and today we are honoured to showcase our strong commitment to high food quality and safety standards to Sheikh Shakhbout Al Nahyan.”

Agthia Group acquired 100 per cent of Delta Bottled Water Co in March 2017, giving the company a fully-fledged water business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, producing, marketing and distributing Al Ain Water, Delta Water 5 Gallon bottles and Bambini baby water.

Agthia’s chief executive officer Engineer Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi recently announced Agthia’s aspirations to expand further in the country through mergers and acquisitions, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
