Alba celebrates appointment as safety course training provider

MANAMA, December 12, 2017

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters, celebrated its recent appointment as an approved and licensed training provider for the course ‘Managing Safely’ by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), UK.
 
The celebration, at Alba Club, was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development Undersecretary Sabah bin Salem Al Dossari and attended by the Secretary General of the Royal Charity Organization and President of Bahrain Safety Society Dr Mustafa Al Sayed, Head of Customer Engagement at IOSH Deena Al Khalidi, Alba’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali, Alba’s Executive Management, key officials from Alba as well as representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Southern Governorate and the Supreme Council for Environment. 
 
Al Baqali said: “We are pleased with the ongoing support by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development towards Alba’s endeavours to promote a safe and healthy work environment across all industries in Bahrain. This license will further enhance Alba’s commitment to ‘Safety First, Safety Always’ for its people and contractors’ in line with Alba’s 2017 expectation of Safety Tomorrowland.”
 
The ‘Managing Safely’ course by IOSH is designed to provide managers and supervisors the knowledge and tools required to manage their business environment safely. – TradeArabia News Service
