Alba wins award for occupational health and safety

MANAMA, July 31, 2017

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, was recently presented with the ‘Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety 2017’ by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), at an event in the UK.

RoSPA recognises health and safety success and awards companies around the world for their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.

The award was received on behalf of Alba by the senior safety, health and environment (SHE) manager Moh’d Khalil; senior SHE coordinator Jassim Moh’d Zainal; and SHE coordinator Ahmed A.Jalil Al Sayyad, said a statement from the company.
 
Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray said: “Alba values safety as an integral component of its operations.”

“I thank our employees for their contribution towards not only fulfilling the organisational goals but also doing more than necessary to achieve higher safety performance in line with Alba's Safety Tomorrowland objective,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
