Sage luncheon to discuss ‘Industrial Revolution 4.0’

MUSCAT, April 17, 2017

Sage, a market and technology leader for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems, will hold a luncheon discussion on Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the role it plays in business innovation, later this week, in Oman.

The event will be held on April 19, at the Hormuz Grand Hotel, Muscat.

The event will also delve into the upcoming introduction of VAT in the GCC and the role technology can play in making the process easy and seamless, said a statement from the company.

Keith Fenner, vice president - Sage Enterprise Africa and Middle East, said: “Social, mobile, analytics, and cloud (SMAC) technologies, advanced robotics and artificial intelligence are driving the fourth industrial revolution, which will transform how companies perform business functions such as predictive maintenance and sales optimisation.”

“But having the appropriate tools for the collection and analysis of data is essential if companies are to gain a competitive edge,” he said.

“Thus, one aim of the luncheon discussion is to provide insight into the technology that will drive organisations into a new digital era. At the same time, organizations are preparing for introduction of VAT in Oman and in the region. At the event, we will show how Sage solutions can assist with the oncoming changes,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
