Honeywell inks deal with International Wings Group
DUBAI, December 7, 2016
Global technology leader Honeywell has signed an agreement with Arab Wings and Gulf Wings, both part of the International Wings Group, to provide its full suite of GoDirect Cabin and Cockpit Connectivity Services to more than 20 aircraft.
These technologies will enhance crew and passenger productivity, enabling them to stay connected via inflight wi-fi while travelling for business or pleasure.
As part of the agreement, Honeywell will provide worldwide very high frequency and satellite datalinks for all capable aircraft in the operators’ growing fleets, ensuring an industry-leading level of global connectivity coverage. With Honeywell’s GoDirect portal, Jordan-based Arab Wings and UAE’s Gulf Wings will be able to track data usage across every aircraft, providing operators with real-time information to better manage network costs and monitor individual users’ experiences.
“Honeywell’s all-in-one GoDirect approach to connectivity helps business jet operators like Arab Wings and Gulf Wings offer the best possible flying experience to their customers,” said Raghed Talih, sales director for the Middle East, Honeywell Aerospace. “This agreement validates Honeywell’s commitment to deliver fast, reliable connectivity solutions that enhance the aerospace ecosystem around the world.”
“There is high demand for solutions that help passengers stay connected in flight and provide pilots with the real-time information to enhance the flying experience,” said Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh, CEO at Arab Wings. “Unifying our cabin and cockpit services through one provider allows us to deliver the highest level of VIP service to our customers.”
Uniting Honeywell’s software and hardware capabilities gives operators a seamless experience with a “one-stop-shop” connectivity platform spanning routing software, airtime, hardware equipment, electronics and flight support services. With these capabilities, customers have access to integrated and custom solutions to meet their connectivity needs and expand their global reach.
