Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the leading aluminium smelters in the world, said it had welcomed Vagif Garaev, Ambassador of Russia and other Russian diplomats recently.

The main purpose of the visit was to meet with Alba representatives and know more about the smelter’s production processes as well as its role in supporting Bahrain’s economy, said the statement from the company.

Tim Murray Alba’s chief executive officer; Isa Al-Ansari Alba’s chief operations officer; Ali Al Baqali the chief financial officer; and Khalid Abdullatif acting chief marketing officer met with the ambassador.

Murray said: “We thank Garaev for honouring us with this visit, which was a great opportunity to highlight the smelter’s activities as well as its systems of safety and environment.” – TradeArabia News Service
