Gulf Extrusions (Gulfex), a leading global manufacturer of extruded aluminium products, will participate and highlight the region’s latest trends in aluminium extrusions at the 20th edition of the CRU World Aluminium Conference, to be held tomorrow in Dubai, UAE.
The event will take place from May 11 to 13, at the Madinat Jumeirah.
Positioned as the premier event for the global aluminium industry, the CRU World Aluminium Conference attracts influential delegates involved in smelting, recycling, rolling, extruding, trade, raw materials, purchasing, technology and finance, said a statement from the conference.
Modar Al Mekdad, general manager of Gulfex will be presented as one of the special panellists in the roundtable discussion focused on the topic of recycling, said a statement from the company.
Gulfex along with CRU and the London Metal Exchange will organise a workshop on ‘Price Risk Management’ for CFO’s in the aluminium industry on the first day of the conference.
The session is expected to cover key topics and issues like price volatility risk and how it affects producers, fabricators and final manufacturers; introductory hedge concepts; futures markets risks; types of futures/swap hedges; mitigating premium price risk; options hedging and strategies; and hedge administration and control, it added.
