Dubai summit to set strategic maritime goals
DUBAI, December 7, 2014
Global leaders will establish the first cornerstones of 2015 strategic economic views towards the marine and maritime cluster at an upcoming international summit in Dubai.
The Mare Forum International Committee will hold the second Global Leaders Maritime Summit on January 21 at the Meydan Hotel.
The Dubai event marks the first calendar event of 13 events organized by the Mare Forum International Committee in countries such as Brazil, Italy, Netherlands and Singapore.
The Mare Forum Dubai will review the outcome of 2014 strategies and changes, in addition to proactive visualization and discussions on the directions of global business trends.
The 2015 summit will be held with great interest and involvement from the international and regional maritime shipping sectors, during which speakers will provide valuable information on the various factors affecting the clusters, the conclusions of intellectual ideas and will explore the prospects of future developments.
Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World said: “In light of the positive feedback from speakers who expressed a strong desire to participate, the summit provides an interactive platform that enables industry leaders to discuss important issues affecting the current reality of the industry and its future prospects on a global level.”
Buamim elaborated that Dubai’s economy may be the biggest winner from the global economic transformation due to Dubai’s economic diversity, which gives countries and international institutions a foothold in the UAE, acting as an integrated gateway to the global economy, emerging economies in Africa, the Indian subcontinent and northern and eastern countries of the Mediterranean.
