Schneider Electric wins Saudi Maaden deal

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has won a deal from Saudi mining company Maaden to supply low voltage switchgear for its phosphate project, said a report.

As per the agreement, Schneider Electric will also provide services to manage and maintain electrical distribution system for Maaden Umm Wu’al Phosphate project in the northern region, reported the Arab News.

Commenting on the deal, Christophe Campagne, country president, Schneider Electric (Saudi Arabia) said: "Industrial processes in mining, minerals and metals are some of the most energy-intensive, making energy efficiency a crucial part of the operation from both a financial and sustainability standpoint."

"Schneider Electric with its strong local presence in Saudi is well known for its ability to supply innovative equipment, products, services and solutions. These solutions are cost effective even while meeting the most stringent industry standards and help customers to make the most of their energy," he added.
