CPC’s $351m industrial park to open in Sept

Construction Products Company, a leader in the building products sector, will open its new industrial complex in Egypt, built at a cost of over EGP2 billion ($351 million), in September.

The industrial complex, which is built on an area of 1.5 million sq m, can accommodate more than 60 factories and provide about 10,000 new jobs, a statement said.

Currently, all works in the infrastructure and in the public facilities are mostly completed, officials at CPC Egypt said in the statement.

Rashid Mohamed Rashid, the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, recently visited the industrial complex located in Sixth October. He was accompanied by Amr Assal, head of the General Authority for Industrial Development, and other senior officials.

During the visit, Mohamed Rashid inaugurated the EGP200 million Ceramic Art factory, an advanced ceramic facility, which will generate more than 1,000 jobs.

Dr Faysal Alaquil, official spokesman and director of business development for CPC said that there are about 20 factories under construction at the complex, out of which, three are already operational. – TradeArabia News Service
