Sharjah, Fujairah health centres reviewed

Senior officials of the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention recently visited medical centres in Sharjah and Fujairah to evaluate the quality of health services and review the areas for improvement.

The visits to the Al Dhaid Medical Center in Sharjah and the Wadi Al Seder Health Center and Al Hala Medical Center in Fujairah were carried out by Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention along with Dr Easa Al Mansoori, director of the Undersecretary Office.

Dr Al Olama and D. Al Mansoori were received at the Al Dhaid Medical Center Sharjah by the center director Huda, who briefed them about the center’s daily operations and services.

Dr Al Olama emphasized the importance of ensuring the healthcare requirements of the patients at the center through efficient and smooth workflow and availability of facilities including latest laboratory equipment, ECG machines, and dental chairs supported with adequate manpower within the existing human resource regulations. He also urged stringent implementation of general maintenance policies.

In Fujairah, at the Wadi Al Seder Health Center, Dr Al Olama and his delegation were welcomed by Sheikha Al Abdouly, the deputy director of the center. The officials toured the center and reviewed the health services offered at the center and reviewed the requirements to improve the healthcare delivery at the center.

At Al Hala Medical Center, the ministerial delegation was welcomed by Aisha, the director of the center. D. Al Olama pointed out the need for regular maintenance of the facilities. He suggested opening a drug store, upgrading the current pharmacy freezer, expanding the laboratory services, upgrading the laboratory equipment and cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices at the center. - TradeArabia News Service
