Abu Dhabi hospital greets first new year baby
ABU DHABI, January 2, 2016
Minutes after the fireworks went off announcing the start of 2016, Wadeema Omar Mozahem was born to Emirati national Mozahem and his wife at Abu Dhabi’s tertiary healthcare facility, Burjeel Hospital.
The first baby to be born in 2016, Wadeema arrived, weighing in at 3,520 gm, born to Emirati national Mr. Mozahem and his wife.
The couple’s fifth child, the parents expressed joy that their child was the first to be born in 2016.
“Mother and baby are doing great and resting. We are delighted that Wadeema was the first baby to be born in 2016 - I am sure she will be excited about the honour too,” said a beaming Mozahem.
“We are thankful to the doctors and nurses of Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi for ensuring the safe delivery of our baby girl – this is the best New Year’s gift,” he stated.
Dr Sausan Abdul Rahman, the consultant (Obstetrics and Gynecology) at Burjeel Hospital, said: "Bringing a child into this world any time of the year is extraordinary but giving birth to the first baby of 2016 is extra special."
"Our best wishes go out to the new parents and we wish them happiness and prosperity on the birth of their child. Burjeel Hospital is proud to be a part of this momentous occasion," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
