BWTC backs breast cancer awareness drive
Manama, November 5, 2012
Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC) has joined the world-wide Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign by lighting up in pink to show its support for the disease for the month of October.
As part of its participation, during the month-long campaign, the BWTC organised several initiatives at Moda Mall, Bahrain’s ultra-modern fashion destination located on the ground floor of the state-of-the-art commercial development.
BWTC kicked off its initiatives in support of Breast Cancer Awareness by providing dedicated space at the Jewellery Court for the Bahrain Cancer Society to set up a special stand, a statement from an official said.
Members of the Cancer Society had the unique opportunity to sell various items such as T-shirts, pink ribbons and cookies branded with the campaign logo and distribute brochures on the importance of breast self-examination and the significance of early disease detection to women shoppers and visitors to the mall.
In addition, BWTC partnered with Maki, one of the finest Japanese fusion restaurants in the Kingdom; and Abdul El Wahab, the culinary hotspot restaurant at Moda Mall; showing their commitment to worthy causes by contributing a percentage of their revenues during the month of October towards the campaign. – TradeArabia News Service
