Bahrain completes over 200 recreational projects

Bahrain's works ministry has implemented more than 200 projects including those related to development of gardens, parks, beaches and walkways as part of its efforts to provide recreational facilities for the citizens and residents nationwide.
Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf described the completion of great number of municipal projects as a milestone attained during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era.
"The landmark achievement has been attained thanks to the constant support of His Majesty and owing to the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the unwavering follow-up of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier," he noted.
Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services, Wael Al Mubarak, highlighted the works ministry’s cooperation with municipal councils to carry on efforts to enhance sustainable urban development through improving the urban environment, developing regions, increasing green spaces and water fronts.
The project also included establishment of parks, gardens and walkways besides repairing of dilapidated houses, improving towns and cities, creating public squares, revamping traditional markets and enhancing investment in municipal property.-TradeArabia News Service
