Qatar-based UrbaCon Trading & Contracting Company won the Developer of the Year award at Retail and Leisure International’s (RLI) gala held in London, UK, recently.

The award was aimed at highlighting the best new retail and leisure schemes such as Mall of Qatar
and The Al Rayyan Hotel from the most exciting development company of the last 12 months, said a statement from the company.

It was presented at the eleventh edition of the Global RLI Awards held at the Natural History Museum in London.

With over 4,718 experts and 33,812 tradesmen, coupled with more than 2,143 plant and machines, it mobilises ample resources on the spot and meets demanding schedules, the statement added.

On the award win, UrbaCon's CEO Moataz Al Khayyat, said: "This award recognizes our developing work for Mall of Qatar as one of the most important retail projects developed by our company in Qatar."
