DC Pro Engineering marks decade of success

SHARJAH, March 20, 2016

UAE-based DC Pro Engineering will broaden its design consultancy and building services credentials to capitalise on a booming global district cooling market projected to reach $29 billion over the next three years, as it marks a decade of success, said a senior official.

"The district cooling industry has evolved significantly over the last 10 years and DC Pro Engineering remains at the forefront of delivering top design concepts to our customers," said its CEO George Berbari.

With increasing global demand for district cooling solutions and techniques to implement energy savings, the Sharjah-based firm will leverage its portfolio of major GCC projects to stamp its footprint worldwide.

"Our engineers and design consultancy professionals are pioneers in value engineering. By optimising designs and reducing energy consumption, we are passing on huge savings in capital costs for our regional and international clients," stated Berbari.

"Our second decade will see us turn our regional district cooling experience into global total design consultancy expertise," he added.

Fouad Younan, the managing director, said since 2006, DC Pro Engineering has utilised its widespread experience to reduce energy consumption for a large number of prestigious developments in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.

In its first decade, the UAE company has completed over 2.6 million tons of district cooling designs. It has also designed more than 55 chilled water plant rooms and over 6,000 km of external chilled water piping, he stated.

DC Pro Engineering’s diverse regional portfolio of work covers individual hospitals, hotel, malls, retail facilities and residential and commercial towers across the GCC and beyond.

In addition, the company has been engaged in the design phase, construction stage or post-construction for some of the GCC’s landmark mega projects including the Jeddah Tower, the new King Abdul-Aziz International Airport, both in Jeddah, as well as Riyadh’s Al Bustan II Development.

The company is also involved in the Khalifa Stadium project in Qatar, the Maryah Island and Saadiyat Island projects in Abu Dhabi and the award-winning Innovation Park in Muscat.-TradeArabia News Service
