$36.7m Bahrain project on track

The work on the BD13.6 million ($36.7 million) Survey and Land Registration Bureau building is in progress and on track for completion in February next year, said a statement from Bahrain Ministry of Works.

Minister of Works Esam Bin Abdulla Khalaf recently inspected the work at the new 12 storeyed building coming up on a sprawling 24,400 sq m land in Seef District.

The building will have spacious reception halls, administrative offices, conference and training rooms and archiving halls, in addition to 50 parking lots for VIPs and another parking area equipped to accommodate 360 cars, said the ministry statement.

The minister was accompanied by the president of Survey & Land Registration Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al Khalifa, Resources and IT general manager Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the survey general manager Nagi Sabt Salim.

The inspection team was briefed by project’s consultants Saudi Designers Engineering Consultants and project’s contractor Zachariadis Contracting on work progress.
 
‘Survey and Land Registration Bureau is one of the most important governmental organizations in the Kingdom, for it provides all kinds of services related to survey and land registration," said Esam Khalaf. 

"The state-of-the-art new building seeks to provide a convenient and comfortable work environment to all staff and thus enhance performance and eventually contribute to Bahrain Economic Vision 2030," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
