CAIRO, August 28, 2018

The 23rd Euromoney Egypt Conference will return to Cairo on September 4 and 5, and will bring a new format, new speakers and new ideas to talk on the theme of ‘Resilience and Agility’.

The conference, being held with the support of the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation, will focus on topics such as: is the financial sector agile and prepared to adapt?; is the economy sufficiently resilient?; and what are Egypt’s investment strategies moving forward?

Attending the event, Dr Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, will discuss if the economy has turned a corner, giving an update on the budget and prospects for growth.

Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, will discuss how Egypt is moving towards a digital economy and how this digitisation is evolving.

One of the most important components of a forward looking, agile country is good education, and Professor Tarek Shawki, Minister of Education, will speak on his ambitious plans to transform the sector and create a workforce fit for the 21st century.

Following on from insightful Ministerial interviews the theme will be explored throughout the two days with panel discussions, presentations and special sessions delivered by experts in their fields.
