Emirates Development Bank to host open day for SMEs
ABU DHABI, January 18, 2016
Emirates Development Bank (EDB) is set to host an SME Open Day in Abu Dhabi as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting UAE business owners and entrepreneurs.
The event will be held at the bank’s headquarters in Hazza Bin Zayed Street, Abu Dhabi, UAE on January 20.
The initiative is in line with the bank’s strategic objectives to play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the UAE economy.
EDB provides local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with innovative banking solutions at affordable costs through direct financing, indirect financing by issuing partial guarantees, and through building strategic alliances with all local and federal authorities.
The open day will allow Emirati SME owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet with the banking experts in a network event at EDB and seek advice on various topics, including, but not limited to, planning, strategy, realisation, finance, and talent management.
The participants will also be given the chance to meet with managers and enquire about a range of specialist SME products and services available to UAE citizens.
Rashid Mahboob, acting chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to hold our first open day for local businesses and entrepreneurs. Emirates Development Bank is committed to fostering economic growth and diversification in the UAE.
"Our aim is to improve the opportunities and life choices for UAE citizens, particularly those entrepreneurs and business owners that are the engine room of the local economy.” - TradeArabia News Service
