Dubai Courts wins 3 Stevie Awards for excellence

Dubai Courts has won three Stevies at the 12th International Business Awards (IBA), the latest edition of the world’s premier business awards recognising corporate innovation and excellence within the international business community. 
 
The prizes conferred to Dubai Courts demonstrate the legal and judicial excellence in the emirate, said a statement.
 
The awarding ceremony will be held on October 28 in Toronto, Canada, in the presence of high-profile decision-makers and business leaders from all over the world, it said.
 
Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, director general, Dubai Courts, said: “It is our pleasure to receive such honourable recognitions reflecting Dubai Courts’ leading position and further boosting our efforts to raise the bar in Dubai’s legal and judicial system. 
 
"These awards reaffirm the Courts’ remarkable success in providing outstanding integrated services and innovative solutions according to the highest regional and international standards.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Obaidli, director of Case Services Department , Dubai Courts, was named the Bronze Stevie Winner under the ‘Innovator of the Year - Asia & Oceania’ category in recognition of his unwavering efforts to help facilitate litigation proceedings, empower society with easy access to efficient solutions for legal disputes, and promote customer happiness. 
 
Al Obaidli’s valuable contributions have significantly helped Dubai Courts achieve remarkable milestones in improving Dubai’s competitiveness in the international landscape. 
 
The Stevie Award is a key addition to Al Obaidli’s rich record of prestigious accolades, including the Creative Leader Award given at the 2014 Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). He is the first public official from the Dubai Government to receive the Creative Leader Award.
 
Dubai Courts’ legal consultation programme, ‘Shoor,’ also won the Bronze Stevie Award under the ‘Customer Service Team of the Year - All Other Industries’ category.   
 
‘Shoor’ is the successful innovative initiative offering free legal advice on a wide variety of cases, lawsuits, disputes and other temporary or urgent legal matters. 
 
The programme is the result of the strategic partnership between Dubai Courts and key law firms. Aside from the Stevie Award, ‘Shoor’ also recently won the 2015 DGEP Creative Idea Award. 
 
The DGEP honour serves as a key step towards excellence in offering legal services that ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and happiness.
 
The third Bronze Stevie Award, the ‘Customer Service Department of the Year - All Other Industries,’ was conferred to Dubai Courts’ Central Services Division which offers 27 legal services to customers 12 hours a day via a single platform. 
 
The award recognises the division’s pivotal role in completing transactions faster and more efficiently during the process of accessing legal and judicial services. 
 
The division has contributed effectively towards enhancing customer satisfaction levels and helping Dubai Courts win various high-profile awards such as the 2013 GCC eGovernment Award for its ‘Remote Registration of Cases’ Service and the 2015 DGEP Creative Idea Award. - TradeArabia News Service
