Euromoney Kuwait focus on key developments

KUWAIT, September 8, 2014

The Euromoney Kuwait Conference will open tomorrow (September 9) with focus on recent developments in Kuwaiti financial sector and investment outlook.

Now in its sixth year, the event will feature keynote addresses from the Minister of Finance, Anas Al-Saleh, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Dr Mohammed Al-Hashel.

The conference, with the theme New Dynamics of Finance and Investment, will feature one-to-one interviews with many of the new leaders of major Kuwaiti banks.

Loïc Fery, chief executive officer and founder of Chenavari Investment Managers, one of the largest independent non-US credit hedge fund managers, will feature in a one-to-one interview about the European banking sector and the investment opportunities created by the need for deleveraging.

On September 9, international speakers from Knight Frank, Lazard Asset Management, and Standard & Poor’s will join local experts from Global Investment House, Kuwait Financial Centre (‘Markaz’) and United Real Estate Company to examine the investment outlook.

“As always, we are bringing together a diverse mix of interesting and knowledgeable speakers to entertain our high-level audience at the sixth annual conference” said Richard Banks, director of Emerging Markets at Euromoney Conferences.

“We at Euromoney are delighted to be back in Kuwait at this pivotal time of change for this unique country and to be involved in explaining the impact of these changes to local, regional and global market participants. I am particularly looking forward to being part of the discussion on the return of geopolitical risk, which I believe is one of the most important topics for international investors today.” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
