Amex executives share best practices

Manama, July 12, 2011

American Express (Amex) Middle East recently gathered its top regional sales executives in Bahrain to share best practices and understand their individual roles in achieving the company’s goals.

The two-day event at the Bahrain International Circuit brought together more than 40 of the company’s sales executives from across the 18 countries in the region where it operates.

The Formula One themed conference was followed by an award ceremony for the top sales performers.

American Express Middle East, which has been headquartered in Bahrain since 1977, chose the mid-way point of the year to host the conference as it seeks to build on its positive start to 2011.

“We are pleased to welcome so many of our regional sales executives here to our headquarters in Manama,” said Mazin Khoury, chief operating officer, Amex Middle East.

“By investing in our people here in Bahrain and across the 18 markets we serve in the region, we are able to provide our customers with unmatched flexibility, reliability and rewards.”

Simon Nelson, VP Card Sales and Client Development, Amex Middle East, said: “The Bahrain International Circuit was an appropriate setting and a first class venue to bring together our regional sales team and focus on high performance.”

“Over two days our company leadership and top sales people were able to share best practice and learn new skills, supporting American Express Middle East in its continued drive towards sales and customer service excellence,” he added.
