Kuwait forum to discuss financial issues

Global banking experts and economists will be in Kuwait to discuss key financial issues at a major forum to be held from October 31 to November 1.
The Second Kuwait Financial Forum is being endorsed by Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and sponsored by the Commercial Bank of Kuwait.
A goal of the conference is to spotlight the significant economic and financial challenges facing the local and regional banking industry, according to a statement from Commercial Bank of Kuwait.
The forum will also discuss Kuwait's financial industry and its development plan, which has been the hallmark of Sheikh Nasser's agenda as prime minister, it said.
Other topics of interest include the global financial crisis and its implications, the features of regulatory development and the progress of international financial system reform, it added.
The forum is expected to draw a selection of governors from the world's central banks, along with a number of economists and banking experts from Arab nations, the statement said.-TradeArabia News Service
