L Ajith Kumar has joined Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) International Bahrain as general manager.

He succeeds Niraj Agarwal, who has joined LIC International's new joint venture company in Riyadh, the Saudi-Indian Company for Co-operative Insurance, as chief executive officer.

Kumar, who hails from Trivandrum, Kerala, is a law graduate and a post-graduate in English literature. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in insurance management.

He is an associate of the Insurance Institute of India.  Kumar, who joined LIC of India in 1986, was the senior divisional manager in Trivandrum from 2004 before joining LIC (International) in Bahrain.

He has worked in different offices of LIC of India , and has vast experience in marketing, legal, claims and IT departments. Kumar has also attended various training programmes conducted by regional and international organisations. TradeArabia News Service
