stc Bahrain, a digital enabler in the kingdom, has partnered with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) Group to support the enhancement of its data centre infrastructure as part of the second phase of the banking group's data centre transformation programme.
The initiative involved the deployment of a modern, highly resilient infrastructure within NBB Group's new Data Centre environment, enabling the seamless integration of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) services onto the Group's strategic infrastructure platform.
The upgraded environment delivers enhanced scalability, performance, security and operational resilience while ensuring uninterrupted service continuity, said stc Bahrain in a statement.
The enhanced infrastructure provides a unified and future-ready foundation designed to improve workload mobility, support growing business demands, strengthen cybersecurity readiness, and enable high-availability application performance across the Group's banking operations.
Throughout the engagement, stc Bahrain served as the project coordinator and implementation partner, supporting project governance, coordinating delivery activities across multiple stakeholders, and facilitating the successful deployment of the enhanced infrastructure.
Hesham Mustafa, Chief Business & Wholesale Officer at stc Bahrain, said: "We are proud to take part of NBB Group’s modernisation initiative. Through effective project coordination, stc Bahrain contributed to the successful implementation of a modern Data Centre infrastructure designed to support the Group's evolving business and technology requirements."
This achievement reflects the strong collaboration between NBB Group and stc Bahrain in delivering a modern, resilient, and scalable infrastructure foundation aligned with the Group's long-term technology strategy and Bahrain's broader digital transformation ambitions under Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Razi Amin, Group Chief Technology Officer at NBB, said this project represented a significant milestone in its infrastructure modernisation journey.
"The enhancement of our data centre infrastructure and the integration of BisB services onto our strategic Group platform have strengthened operational resilience, enhanced security, and established a scalable foundation capable of supporting future growth and innovation," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
