Saudi Arabia’s FDI inflows up 33.5pc in 2025, says report

Saudi Arabia’s foreign direct investment (FDI) net inflows for FY2025 surged to SAR159 billion ($41.7 billion), up 33.5% over the previous year, while the country's FDI stock rose 8.3% to hit SAR1.06 trillion ($278 billion), reported SPA.

The figures reflect the growth in foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia in recent years. In 2025, FDI inflows were five times their 2017 level, while the FDI stock doubled over the same period, stated the report.

From 2017 to 2025, FDI inflows grew at a compound annual rate of 24%, while the FDI stock grew at 10%, underscoring continued growth in foreign investment and an expanding FDI stock in the kingdom.

The figures also reflect Saudi Arabia’s growing appeal to foreign investors and rising confidence in the Saudi economy and its outlook, supported by the economic and structural changes introduced since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, said the SPA report.

The results highlight the kingdom’s progress in strengthening its position as an attractive investment destination, in line with Vision 2030 goals to diversify the economy and increase FDI.

Saudi Arabia continues to improve its investment environment, expand domestic investment, and attract high-quality foreign investment, it added.
