WSP, one of the world’s leading leading engineering, science and infrastructure solutions firms, has appointed Sam Abdelfattah as Senior Technical Director, Mission Critical Lead for the Middle East. 

Based in Riyadh, Abdelfattah will lead the continued development and growth of WSP’s Mission Critical and Data Centre offering across the region as part of its Property & Buildings business.  

Abdelfattah joins WSP Middle East following a successful career with WSP in the United States, where he held senior leadership and technical roles within the Mission Critical and Data Centre sector. Prior to joining the Middle East business, he served in a national leadership capacity supporting data centre development initiatives and major client programmes.  

In his new role, Abdelfattah will be responsible for shaping, leading and growing WSP’s Mission Critical and Data Centre offering across the Middle East. He will work closely with the broader Property & Buildings leadership team to strengthen the firm’s market position, deepen client relationships, enhance technical capabilities, and capture opportunities across this rapidly expanding sector.  

Sam’s appointment reinforces WSP’s commitment to supporting infrastructure ambitions across the Middle East by bringing together global expertise, local market knowledge and proven major programme delivery capability. His experience, leadership and technical expertise will support clients in delivering resilient, high-performing digital infrastructure across the region.
