Oman Air has begun recruitment for its first-ever Chief Guest Experience Officer (CGXO), as the airline strengthens its focus on delivering a more seamless, personalised and digitally enabled customer journey.
The new executive will
lead Oman Air’s guest experience strategy, overseeing improvements across key
touchpoints, including booking, airport services, onboard dining and loyalty
programmes.
The role will also
promote a stronger customer-centric culture across the airline.
The appointment forms
part of Oman Air’s ongoing transformation and follows the recent appointment of
Chief Executive Officer Nasser Al Sharji, who has outlined a strategy focused
on operational excellence, commercial performance and higher levels of guest
satisfaction.
Al Sharji said: "Delivering
exceptional travel experiences has always been at the heart of Oman Air's
identity and reflects our role as ambassadors of Oman to the world. Over the
past several years, we have made significant progress in transforming the
business and building a stronger foundation for the future. As we enter our
next phase of growth, we are renewing our focus on what matters most: our
guests. The recruitment of a Chief Guest Experience Officer reflects our
commitment to anticipating the evolving needs and expectations of today's
travellers, ensuring we continue to innovate, adapt and deliver an experience
that is both distinctly Omani and internationally competitive."
Oman Air has announced
several investments to enhance its customer proposition, including upgrades to
cabin interiors, onboard dining, digital services and its loyalty programme.
These initiatives will be introduced in phases
over the coming years.
The CGXO will ensure
the investments are aligned under a unified guest-focused strategy and deliver
measurable improvements throughout the end-to-end travel experience. The
executive will also use customer feedback, operational insights and data-driven
decision-making to identify areas for continuous improvement.
At the same time, Oman
Air said the role will help preserve the authentic Omani hospitality that has
long distinguished the airline. Recruitment for the position is now underway. -TradeArabia News Service
