The MICHELIN Guide will host the fifth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai Restaurant Ceremony on October 6, 2026 at Atlantis The Royal, bringing together leading chefs, restaurateurs, industry figures and media to celebrate the emirate’s thriving culinary scene.
The highly anticipated event will reveal the latest MICHELIN
Guide Dubai restaurant selection, marking another milestone for a dining
destination that has rapidly established itself on the global gastronomic map.
Now in its fifth edition, the MICHELIN Guide Dubai has
become a key fixture on the city’s annual calendar, reflecting the continued
growth, diversity and quality of its restaurant sector. The guide’s presence in
Dubai is supported by destination partner Dubai’s Department of Economy and
Tourism (DET), reinforcing the emirate’s ambitions as a leading international
destination for dining and hospitality.
Following the unveiling of the 2026 selection, guests will
attend a curated reception featuring a premium cocktail experience and
signature canapés prepared by chefs from restaurants recognised by the MICHELIN
Guide.
The participating restaurants include Row on 45, awarded Two
MICHELIN Stars in the 2025 Dubai guide; avatāra and Hōseki, both recipients of
One MICHELIN Star in 2025; Italy’s Glass Hostaria, awarded One MICHELIN Star in
the 2026 Italy guide; and Berenjak, a Bib Gourmand recipient in the 2025 Dubai
guide.
The MICHELIN Guide’s distinctions are based on five
universal criteria applied by its inspectors worldwide: the quality of
ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, harmony of flavours, the chef’s
personality as expressed through the cuisine, and consistency over time and
across the menu.
MICHELIN Stars remain the guide’s most prestigious
distinctions.
One Star recognises high-quality cooking worth a stop, Two
Stars honour excellent cuisine worth a detour, while Three Stars are awarded
for exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.
The Bib Gourmand, meanwhile, highlights restaurants offering quality food at moderate prices.
The 2026 ceremony is expected to further spotlight Dubai’s evolving dining culture, shaped by culinary talent from around the world and an increasingly diverse range of cuisines and restaurant concepts.-TradeArabia News Service
