Mace Consult, a leading global delivery consultancy, is playing a key role in the delivery of the iconic Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex in Muscat.
Working alongside the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth as Project Management Consultant since 2022, Mace provides project leadership, programme management, commercial oversight and delivery assurance, enabling efficient delivery and informed decision-making.
During that time, the team has delivered substantial value by driving cost efficiencies through robust commercial governance, proactive change management, value-engineering and enhanced programme controls.
Located in Al-Seeb on a 400,000 sq m site, the cultural destination will bring together nationally significant landmarks including the 23,000 sq m National Library, the 22,500 sq m National Archives, the 16,300 sq m National Theatre with 1,000-seat and 252-seat auditoriums, the 13,165 sq m Cultural Plaza, four facilities buildings and an 8,000 sq m Energy & Data Centre. All of this will be centred around an urban plaza and set within landscaped gardens, water features and a signature canopy structure.
Supporting delivery in a complex design and build environment, Mace has played a leading role in progressing design development, strengthening programme controls and aligning stakeholders while overseeing several significant project milestones. These include the substantial completion of the project's iconic canopy structural steelwork, major advances in external infrastructure and utility works, and continued progress across internal and external finishes.
