Saudia records lowest passenger complaint rate in July: GACA

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has released its July 2026 complaint performance ranking for national air carriers and airports, highlighting complaint rates and resolution performance based on passenger complaints received during the month.

GACA said passengers filed 1,718 complaints against air carriers in July. Saudia recorded the lowest complaint rate among national carriers, with 24 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 97% resolution rate within the specified timeframe.

flynas ranked second with 41 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 100% resolution rate, followed by Riyadh Air with 51 complaints and a 100% resolution rate.

flyadeal ranked fourth, recording 54 complaints per 100,000 passengers and resolving 98% of complaints within the required period.

Flights generated the highest number of complaints during the month, followed by tickets and baggage services.

Among international airports handling more than 6 million passengers annually, King Khalid International Airport recorded the lowest complaint rate at one complaint per 100,000 passengers, equivalent to 19 complaints, all of which were resolved.

King Abdullah International Airport recorded the lowest rate among international airports handling fewer than 6 million passengers, with two complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 100% resolution rate.

Among domestic airports, Bisha Airport had the lowest complaint rate, at two complaints per 100,000 passengers, equivalent to one complaint, which was fully resolved.

GACA said the monthly rankings aim to promote transparency and encourage fair competition to improve aviation services. -TradeArabia News Service
