Bidgely has announced the 2027 calendar for its EmPOWER AI conference series, expanding its focus on secure, insight-driven artificial intelligence across the energy sector as utilities move siloed data into cloud data lakes and adopt generative AI infrastructure.
The series,
themed “Shift and Build,” will centre on turning data investments
into measurable returns across three priorities: shifting the customer
experience, shifting load and shifting capital expenditure.
The flagship event
will take place in Chicago from May 11-13, 2027, hosted by PSEG Long Island,
with regional forums planned for Calgary in February and EMEA in October.
“Hosting the 2027
EmPOWER AI conference gives PSEG Long Island a fantastic opportunity to build
on our long-standing partnership with Bidgely and highlight the benefits we’ve
achieved together,” said Lou DeBrino, Vice President of Customer Operations at PSEG
Long Island. “This event cuts through the tech industry noise to offer honest,
peer-backed insight into how AI and energy data not only solve real-world
operational challenges but fundamentally improve the experience for the
customers we serve.”
Bidgely said the
conference series, previously hosted by utilities including OG&E,
PacifiCorp and Avista, will showcase practical deployments and bring together
utility executives, technology partners and AI specialists.
Sessions will cover
personalised customer engagement, affordability, energy efficiency and
operational cost reduction, alongside time-of-use optimisation and peak-load
management. Advanced analytics will focus on targeting customers for HVAC,
solar, battery and EV programmes, while distribution-grid sessions will examine
load flexibility, DER enablement and infrastructure planning.
Generative and agentic
AI will also feature prominently, with Bidgely highlighting applications
including conversational interfaces, IVR self-service and AI agents. Workshops
will examine “Build vs. Buy” deployment options across public cloud, private cloud
and on-premises environments.
The company will also
promote its UtilityAI platform and its development toward AMI 2.0, including
real-time intelligence, predictive analytics and self-learning workflows
designed to support grid response and utility operations.
“Utilities are rapidly
building out their cloud data infrastructure and adopting horizontal GenAI, but
general tools still lack utility context. Bidgely delivers the essential
vertical AI layer that transforms how utilities operate and accelerates our evolution
from a specialized customer experience solution into an enterprise AI platform
for the entire energy ecosystem,” said Abhay Gupta, CEO of Bidgely.
Gautam Aggarwal,
President and Chief Revenue Officer, said the series aims to provide content
based on real-world utility experiences as providers increasingly rely on data
quality and intelligent automation.
“Energy providers are
entering a crucial phase where data quality and intelligent automation dictate
operational success,” Aggarwal said. “Our goal with EmPOWER AI is to deliver
high-impact content rooted in real peer experiences.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
