SLB has been awarded a contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) to support production restoration from shut-in wells across multiple offshore fields.
The project covers subsurface evaluation, well candidate
selection, engineering and offshore execution, alongside intervention services,
monitoring, metering and marine logistics.
The integrated approach is designed to improve production
efficiency and recovery from mature offshore assets.
“Building on our long collaboration in the region, this
contract reflects a shared commitment to maximising value from existing
offshore resources,” said Gokhan Yarim, senior vice president of Integration,
SLB. “Together with BSP, we are combining SLB’s production expertise and
integrated execution capabilities to help restore production from shut-in wells,
increase recovery from existing infrastructure and support BSP’s long-term
production objectives.”
The project marks SLB’s first integrated production
restoration deployment for BSP, bringing multiple technical disciplines and
workflows under a coordinated execution model.
The programme follows Well, Reservoir and Facility
Management principles, combining surveillance, engineering and intervention
planning to optimise production while supporting safe and efficient operations.
The contract reflects growing industry efforts to maximise
recovery from existing infrastructure as operators seek to extend the
productive life of mature offshore fields. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
