Exclusive Ferrari Luce Tailor Made sold for $40m in charity auction

RM Sotheby’s, the world’s largest collector car auction house by total sales, has announced the sale of the exclusive Ferrari Luce Tailor Made, “Chassis 0,” for $40 million during The Monterey Auction, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting charitable initiatives through The Ferrari Foundation.

Created exclusively for charity by Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme in collaboration with the Ferrari Design Studio, the one-of-one Luce represents the very first production chassis of Ferrari’s newest model.

Inspired by its namesake, luce, the Italian word for “light,” the car features a bespoke semi-gloss exterior finish paired with an exclusive metallic leather interior developed specifically for this singular commission.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit, through The Ferrari Foundation, M-TECH Alfredo Ferrari in Maranello, Italy, while also supporting ongoing educational initiatives in the United States, furthering Ferrari’s commitment to advancing technical education and opportunity for future generations.

The successful sale highlights the enthusiasm among collectors for exclusive, factory-created one-off Ferraris while demonstrating the extraordinary impact that the collector car community can have in supporting meaningful charitable causes, said RM Sotheby’s. - TradeArabia News Service
