Rowad Modern Engineering has been awarded an execution contract within Al Haer Sewage Treatment Plant project in Riyadh, which is currently progressing according to a coordinated delivery plan.
This award further strengthens the company’s presence in the vital infrastructure sector across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region, the company said.
Located approximately 45 km south of Riyadh, near Wadi Hanifa, the plant spans an area of nearly 500,000 sq m and has a treatment capacity of 200,000 cu m per day. The project is considered one of the kingdom’s major water infrastructure projects, supporting urban growth, addressing increasing environmental and municipal service needs, and enhancing the efficiency of Saudi Arabia’s wastewater treatment system.
The plant will support existing and future residential communities through advanced wastewater treatment infrastructure. The project also utilizes NEREDA technology, reflecting the shift toward more efficient and resilient water solutions that support long-term sustainable development.
