Dubai-based investment firm Shamal Holding has announced the unveiling of "The Grand", a retail and lifestyle destination at its Nad Al Sheba Gardens development, with the project fully leased ahead of its phased opening from August 19.
The development will be anchored by the first Waitrose & Partners supermarket in Nad Al Sheba and will include retail, dining, healthcare, wellness and other community services, said Shamal in its statement.
Unveiling the official name for its new community retail and lifestyle destination in the heart of Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood, CEO Abdulla Binhabtoor said: “The Grand represents the next phase of Shamal’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba and for the communities we create. Thoughtful creation has shaped every aspect of the destination, not simply to offer convenience, but to elevate the everyday.”
“More than a community mall, The Grand is a lifestyle destination designed to feel welcoming, connected and effortlessly part of daily life,” he stated.
Opening in phases from August 19 onwards, the destination brings together a carefully curated mix of premium grocery, dining, wellness, healthcare and everyday services, creating a place designed around the needs and rhythms of modern community life.
Anchored by the first Waitrose and Partners in Nad Al Sheba, The Grand has been conceived as more than a traditional community mall.
Designed as a welcoming lifestyle destination, it combines convenience with quality, creating an environment where residents can shop, meet, dine, exercise and spend time together as part of their everyday lives, said the statement.
It will include Waitrose & Partners, MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.
From early September, The Grand will welcome a thoughtfully curated collection of dining concepts, cafes, bakeries, wellness and lifestyle brands, including Tashas, Somewhere, Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day, Daima, Staywell Pharmacy and Tips & Toes. Fitcode and American Hospital will complete the destination’s health and wellness offering in early 2027, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
