Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, has signed a letter of intent with JetZero for Z4 aircraft, securing preferential delivery positions in the early 2030s to support its expanding network across Europe and Asia.

The agreement forms part of Gulf Air’s fleet modernization and growth strategy, as the airline continues investing in next-generation aircraft technology to improve operational efficiency, sustainability and passenger experience across its long-haul services.

JetZero’s Z4 is designed to address the mid-market segment, offering capacity for 250 passengers and a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles.

The aircraft is expected to deliver up to 50% lower fuel burn compared with current tube-and-wing aircraft operating on similar routes.

 Its design also features wider boarding doors, direct access to six cabin areas and dedicated overhead storage for each passenger.

Gulf Air said the partnership supports its long-term vision of enhancing connectivity between Bahrain and key international markets.
