Turkish Airlines has signed an agreement with Havelsan for the supply of 12 new flight simulators as part of its strategy to expand its fleet to more than 800 aircraft by 2033.
The order includes
eight Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and four Flight Training Devices (FTD),
supporting the airline’s growing pilot training requirements.
The new simulators
will be integrated into Turkish Airlines’ expanded training infrastructure,
including simulator hangars scheduled to begin operations in 2027 and a new
Flight Training Centre expected to be completed in 2028.
Developed and
manufactured in Türkiye, the systems will enhance domestic capabilities in
advanced aviation technology and pilot training.
Turkish Airlines
already operates seven HAVELSAN-built Full Flight Simulators, including Airbus
A320 and Boeing 737 models, certified to EASA Level D standards.
The latest agreement
reflects the airline’s confidence in HAVELSAN’s simulation technology and will
further strengthen its training capacity in line with international civil
aviation standards.
The airline said the
investment will help support future fleet growth while advancing its pilot
development programmes.
