Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has issued the Executive Regulation of the Tourism Law as part of its efforts to regulate tourism activities, enhance governance, and improve the efficiency of Oman’s tourism sector.
This aligns with the
objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to build a competitive and
sustainable tourism sector and increase its contribution to economic
diversification and job creation, reported ONA.
The issuance of the
regulation reaffirms the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism's commitment to
developing the legislative framework governing the tourism sector, enhancing
the quality of tourism services, protecting the rights of tourists, and
creating an attractive investment environment.
These efforts are
consistent with the pillars of Oman Vision 2040 and contribute to strengthening
the tourism sector's contribution to the national economy and the realisation
of sustainable development.
