Oman’s Tender Board has approved a major portfolio of government contracts and project amendments valued at more than RO363 million ($941 million) during its fourth meeting of 2025. The meeting was chaired by Dr Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board.
The extensive list of approved awards covers a wide range of sectors, with the single largest allocation designated for the procurement of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and sera for government units, amounting to RO 201,835,139.
Key infrastructure and development projects approved include:
*The development of 18th November Road and Al Mouj Road (RO 44,940,000)
*The duplication of Al Rub'Al KhaliRoad - Phase One - in A’Dhahirah Governorate (RO8,396,371)
*The duplication of Al Ma'murah Road – Razzat in Dhofar Governorate (RO4,297,466)
*Design and implementation of Hawiyat Najm Development Project (RO5,759,459)
*Additional works on the project for constructing and implementing protections for valley walls from flood erosion risks in Salalah City (RO 2,283,947)
*Additional works on the tender for providing nutrition services for the University Medical City (RO 1,700,000
*Additional works on the tender for providing cleaning and pest control services at Sultan Qaboos University (RO 1,556,901)
*Additional works on the tender for the Aftalqoot View Development Project in the Dhofar Governorate (RO 1,129,411)
*Additional works on the tender for providing irrigation and landscaping works for the water drainage network project on Sultan Qaboos Road in Al Khuwair (RO 1,102,675)
*Additional works on the agreement for the project to design and implement a single road linking Al Sufaiha Village in the Wilayat of Bahla to the Nizwa-Jibrin Road in the A’Dakhiliyah Governorate (RO 519,000)
*Complementary works on the project to repair damages resulting from weather conditions in the wilayats of Saham and Al Khabourah (RO 199,991)
*Additional works on the consultancy services for the design and supervision of the Aflaj Road Construction Project in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi (RO 50,138)
*Additional works on the tender for establishing a dialysis unit at Al Khabourah Health Complex in the North Al Batinah Governorate (RO 46,192)
*Additional works on the tender for expansion works at Wadi Bani Khalid Hospital in the North A’Sharqiyah Governorate (RO42,367)
*Additional works on the tender for the road maintenance project in the wilayats of Muttrah and Muscat (RO40,305).
The Oman Tender Board also endorsed a series of additional and complementary works across several ongoing projects, covering road maintenance and hospital expansions.
The list also included flood protection works, energy efficiency projects for government buildings and digital platforms for public services, it added.
