On December 7, St. Petersburg’s tourism potential was showcased in Muscat, Oman, at the “Welcome to St. Petersburg!” roadshow, organised by the City Tourist Information Bureau with support from the Tourism Development Committee.
Held at the
Sheraton Oman Hotel, the event brought together travel professionals,
government representatives, and media, enabling direct dialogue and
collaboration between Russian and Omani tourism sectors.
Leading St.
Petersburg tour operators, hotels, cultural institutions, and tourism providers
presented tailored offerings for Middle Eastern visitors, covering cultural,
educational, family, and business tourism.
The programme
included detailed presentations on logistics, accommodations, excursions, and
cultural experiences, followed by interactive workshops and networking sessions
that fostered business connections and cooperation.
The day
concluded with a cultural dinner and prize draw, strengthening informal ties.
The
roadshow marked a key step in boosting tourism and cultural links between St.
Petersburg and Oman, aiming to increase Middle Eastern tourist flows and
