St. Petersburg roadshow expands ties with Muscat tourism market

On December 7, St. Petersburg’s tourism potential was showcased in Muscat, Oman, at the “Welcome to St. Petersburg!” roadshow, organised by the City Tourist Information Bureau with support from the Tourism Development Committee.

Held at the Sheraton Oman Hotel, the event brought together travel professionals, government representatives, and media, enabling direct dialogue and collaboration between Russian and Omani tourism sectors.

Leading St. Petersburg tour operators, hotels, cultural institutions, and tourism providers presented tailored offerings for Middle Eastern visitors, covering cultural, educational, family, and business tourism.

The programme included detailed presentations on logistics, accommodations, excursions, and cultural experiences, followed by interactive workshops and networking sessions that fostered business connections and cooperation.

The day concluded with a cultural dinner and prize draw, strengthening informal ties.

The roadshow marked a key step in boosting tourism and cultural links between St. Petersburg and Oman, aiming to increase Middle Eastern tourist flows and position the city as a competitive destination. -TradeArabia News Service
