The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) has announced that it has completed work on a key project to expand electricity distribution capacity in Khorfakkan. It will primarily supply power to Khorfakkan Resort, supporting the operation of its facilities.
Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) is currently rolling out four major projects to expand and modernise the natural gas network in the Central Region, with a total investment of over AED18.838 million ($5.13 million).
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) said it has completed a project to connect natural gas services to Dibba Al Hisn in the northern emirate. The work involved construction of a gas pumping station, a 46-km pipeline network as well as providing internal connections to 200 residences.

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (Sewa) has completed scheduled maintenance on 138 33kV substations during the first half of 2026. It has also reviewed and approved 367 engineering plans for new substation projects and electricity network development in line with approved technical standards and specifications.
