Mubadala Energy, the Abu Dhabi headquartered international energy company, has announced tangible progress across key Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) drivers, including a 36.5 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2024.
Atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide reached record highs in 2025, intensifying long-term global warming risks, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). CO2 concentrations climbed to 426.8 parts per million, 153 per cent above pre-industrial levels.
UAE oil major Enoc Group has recorded over AED478 million ($130 million) in cumulative savings through energy and resource management (E&RM) initiatives since 2014, alongside a 21.7% improvement in energy efficiency and a 11.5% cut in greenhouse gas emissions intensity, said a top official.
